Our story
Our founder, Megha, has a passion for South Asian fashion and has worked with local, boutique Australian-Indian fashion brands. She noticed that many of her own South Asian clothing items were in great condition but not getting worn, and upon speaking with friends and family, realised they had the same problem. This inspired her to create Kifaayat, a platform to buy and sell pre-loved South Asian fashion.
At Kifaayat, we believe in sustainability and reducing waste. By shopping pre-loved or reusing outfits you can find a great bargain and make a positive impact on the environment. Our name, Kifaayat, is the translation of the word "thrift," reflecting our commitment to providing sustainable options. Rena wears the strategic cap on our team, leading all marketing and community initiatives with a focus on connection. Her background is in marketing and brand management — including a pre-loved luxury fashion platform in Milan, Italy, and marketing & PR for India's leading auction house. At Kifaayat she shapes social campaigns and nurtures our growing community, helping Kifaayat grow in ways that feel authentic and lasting.
